Brigitte’s Travel Tips Evening - Wed 9th May
Travelling soon? Starting on Wednesday 9 May, I will again host one of her popular Travel Tips Evenings. Just in time for 2018 travellers, this evening is particularly intended for those who have done little international travel and want to fast track their learning.
Anyone can benefit as we share a wealth of experience and top travel tips, with time for discussion and questions.
2019 River Cruising Evening - Tues 22nd May
Tuesday 22nd May brings Kate to town, from Avalon and Globus Family of Brands.
River cruising, has exploded in the last 10 years, where there is a river you will find a Ship! Years ago it was all about immersing yourself in the history of Europe or Asia, now river cruises are developing into more interactive experiences.
At our River Cruising night, Kate from Avalon will focus on the “flexibility and choice” on their 2019 cruises. Avalon offer included port and city excursions that are Classic, Active or Discovery. You can join a walking history tour, cycle along the Danube, canoe under the Ponte de Gard or enjoy wine tasting or a cooking class. I see that having a more active holiday is attractive to many travellers, where they can create their own experience. I will also share my own French Avalon River Cruise experience at this evening.
Kate has all the Avalon 2019 offers – up to $5000 per couple on Avalon Cruises, along with no single supplement on Cruises. 2019 Asia Cruises also have an Air credit deal, and no single supplement. Kate will also cover the 2019 USA/Canada Globus and Cosmos preview deals out just this week.
2019 Ocean Cruising Evening - Wed 30th May
Debbie from GO Cruising has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with a range of Ocean Cruise lines. She will also expand on the innovation and technology that brings these ships to life! For example, traditionally an inside cabin has no windows – with the aid of technology, a “virtual window” shows the view outside.
Ocean Cruising has come a long way in recent years. My parents who experienced 6 weeks on a ship to England, had no interest in the new style of cruising – now you can getaway for just 3 days or cruise around the world for 6 months, on ships that can only be called floating cities. Cruise companies offer large and small cruises – one size doesn’t fit all. We work hard to match the traveller with the best cruise company.
Locally cruise holidays have gained great momentum, a few years ago we had a few larger ships based in Australasia. In 2019 Princess Cruises alone, (popular with Kiwi’s) will have 5 ships based in our waters, expanding the array of different itineraries.
