About Brigitte

So who is Brigitte Kempf?  I would be honoured if you would trust me to help you plan and book your next holiday.

With a Londoner father & a Kiwi mother (who had met on her OE, “Overseas Experience” I was always going to be part of a family that travelled. I travelled the world and around New Zealand, as a toddler, child, teenager and adult.

I had my honeymoon in Hawaii and USA and on our own OE I worked with Marcus, my husband as a tour leader within Europe. With our own family we have kept up the travel tradition! I have also travelled on business trips, and recently as a travel consultant, I’ve been away every year to the Pacific Islands, Australia, Asia and Europe.

I can certainly agree with Elizabeth Gilbert’s quote - “to travel is worth any cost or sacrifice.”

As we grew up, we may not have had the best house or the best car – we drove a Hillman Hunter! However my life and my family’s lives have been enriched and enhanced by our travel experiences. The memories we have made together are wonderful, and stay with you long after the latest gadget, or car has passed!

So with this background and travel experience, I offer a friendly personalised consultancy service, working with you to help plan your getaways, holidays and create your own overseas experiences!

I've lived in Timaru for over 10 years, and have built a reputation to deliver great service with a cheerful and helpful disposition as well as provide in-depth travel knowledge and advice. I strive to provide the high levels of service that bring clients back to me for their next trip.

The dreaming and planning phase of your trip is almost as important as the actual trip itself. I love talking about all things travel, this passion helps when planning your trip, whether it’s a surprise celebration weekend in NZ, a luxury Island getaway or a large family reunion on the other side of the world.

I am committed to providing the best value holiday within a budget that works for you. I don’t work for an airline or travel supplier, I work for you! I can take care of all aspects of your travel in a ‘one-stop shop’ saving you time, money and frustration!

Detail does make the difference; let me know your preferred airlines and class of travel, airline frequent flyer numbers, your favourite seating or any particular meal requirements and I will ensure your travel requirements are noted in every booking, and your trip is stress-free.

I help you avoid surprise transits and tedious stopovers, extra-long flying times, hotels far away from the ‘action’ or in the ‘dodgy’ area of town and missing required visas (and possibly your holiday because of that).

Feeling overwhelmed and confused with the options on the internet? Stuck for ideas of where to take your next trip? I am always happy to offer ideas that you may not have thought of. With access to all available options of travel, promotions and special offers I can offer a personal service that makes your travel experience unique to you.

And if you are travelling as part of a group, or are the lead organiser of a travelling group, then my organisational skills will make that planning phase so much easier!

I have obtained Retail Travel Tourism Level 4 Qualification.  This along with many years of my own “hands on” travel experience means that I bring lots of tips and tricks to help make the best holiday memories. 

As the travel industry is constantly changing, as a duty to my clients I am constantly refreshing and updating my skills and knowledge base to keep on top of changes and new products being offered. This also includes keeping up to date with political, social and economic developments in regions all around the world, as they affect travellers.

And when you are travelling and your trip doesn't go to plan - from ash clouds in Iceland, Bali or Mexico, to snow on the Christchurch runway, I am available anytime to effectively rearrange your plans.

I go the extra mile for you. My aim is to make the entire experience enjoyable, relaxing and stress-free. I look forward to you returning from your trip saying that you have had the most wonderful time and we can start planning your next trip!
