What To Do On A 17 Hour flight

Lately, it seems like there's a new airline breaking the record for the world's longest flight every other month. Which is great news, as it means it's easier than ever to get from A to B with a minimum of fuss... but it also means we're travelling for longer stretches at a time.

Travel blogger Megan Singleton recently shared her tips on how to cope with extra long flights.

To her list, I would add two things:

1. Keep Hydrated (and we're talking water, not wine!)

The last thing you need on a marathon flight is a headache and that awful fuzzy not-quite-with-it feeling because you're dehydrated. On your average flight, humidity is around 12% - there are deserts with more humidity! Bring an empty water bottle through customs and refill on the other side or buy a bottle of water before boarding.

2. Make full use of the amenity kit.

Take time to use the amenity kit provided by the airline (or bring along your own). It will get you up and moving and it's amazing how much better you'll feel after a quick refresh.
